2. What personal data is collected

NUNU Housing collects personal information when you submit a housing search request, request an apartment viewing, communicate by email or WhatsApp, enter into a Service Agreement, or otherwise contact NUNU Housing in connection with a service.

Depending on your request, this information may include:

• full name
• email address
• WhatsApp or telephone number
• requested move-in and move-out dates
• housing type and preferences
• maximum rental budget
• preferred areas
• current place of residence
• university, school or place of employment
• current study or employment situation
• Swiss residence-permit status
• whether you have a guarantor and where the guarantor is based
• approximate income range of the person financially responsible for the rent
• property listing links and addresses
• apartment-viewing dates, times and contact details
• information you voluntarily provide in a form, email, WhatsApp message or other communication
• information necessary to prepare or administer a Service Agreement
• payment status and transaction-related information where a paid service is provided

NUNU Housing does not ask you to submit payment-card details directly through this website.

3. Why personal data is used

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

• reviewing housing-search and apartment-viewing requests
• communicating with you about your request
• assessing whether NUNU Housing can provide the requested service
• carrying out the Personalised Search
• identifying and sharing relevant housing opportunities
• assisting with rental applications and related communications
• organising and attending apartment viewings where requested
• preparing and administering Service Agreements
• administering payments for services
• keeping necessary business and accounting records
• responding to questions, requests or complaints
• complying with applicable legal obligations

NUNU Housing does not sell personal data.

4. Information shared with landlords, régies and other property contacts

Where this is necessary for the service you have requested, information may be communicated to a landlord, régie, property manager or other person involved in a particular rental opportunity or apartment viewing.

Only information reasonably necessary for the relevant housing request, application or viewing will be shared.

NUNU Housing will not submit a rental application or send documents to a landlord or régie without the client's knowledge.

5. Third-party service providers

NUNU Housing uses third-party services to operate the website, receive requests and communicate with clients.

These currently include:

• Wix, for the website
• Tally, for request forms
• Google / Gmail, for email communication
• WhatsApp, where you choose to communicate through WhatsApp

Tally acts as a service provider for form submissions. According to Tally, form data is stored in Europe. Where email notifications are enabled, certain submission information may also be processed by Tally's email service providers.

Wix may process website-related information through infrastructure located in different countries, including Ireland and the United States.

Google, WhatsApp and other communication providers process information according to their own privacy policies and infrastructure.

Some service providers may therefore process personal data outside Switzerland. Where applicable, such processing is subject to the safeguards provided by the relevant service provider and applicable data-protection law.

6. Payments

When payment is requested through an external payment provider, payment-card information is entered directly with that provider.

NUNU Housing does not directly receive or store your full payment-card details.

NUNU Housing may retain information such as the amount paid, payment status, date of payment and transaction reference where necessary for administration and accounting.

7. Data retention

Personal data is kept only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Housing-search requests, viewing requests and related correspondence that are no longer required for an active service will normally be deleted or anonymised within 24 months after the last relevant contact.

Information necessary for an ongoing service will be retained for the duration of that service and for a reasonable period afterwards where necessary to deal with questions or contractual matters.

Accounting documents, invoices, transaction records and other records that must be retained under Swiss law may be kept for the legally required retention period, which may be up to 10 years.

8. Data security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

However, no method of transmitting or storing information online can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may request:

• information about whether personal data concerning you is being processed
• access to your personal data
• correction of inaccurate personal data
• deletion of personal data where applicable
• restriction or objection to certain processing where applicable
• a copy of certain personal data where applicable

The NUNU Housing website is built using Wix.
